Sour Bicycles Cowboy Cookie Review: Galloping Glee

Late last year, John took delivery of a Cowboy Cookie frameset and assembled the build spec to make for a kit of metal components. After reviewing the Pasta Party in 2020, he’s been closely following Sour Bicycle‘s brand development, particularly its full-suspension bikes. Read on for some killer riding shots from Spencer Harding and John’s thoughts on this Horst link 120/130 mm build and why the Cowboy Cookie from Sour hits an especially sweet spot…

Intend BC Samurai First Production 32er Suspension Fork

Intend BC‘s inverted forks have long been on our radar. Being a small manufacturer, they can pivot production to address the market easier than the big dogs of suspension. As such, the Freiburg-based brand just unveiled its Samurai 32er fork (€1.427,73). Touted as the “first buyable” 32er suspension fork, the Samurai was first teased at the Made Bike Show on the Falconer 32er we documented. The fork rolls on 35 mm stanchions and supplies a maximum travel of 130 mm. All in a hand-assembled, 1620-gram chassis.

The Normal Bike for Weird People: Drust Heckmeck Review

Heckmeck is a word that captures a certain German flavor of chaos — and also the perfect name for a bike from Drust Cycles that has no business being as good as it is. Built in Berlin by Konstantin Drust, the Heckmeck is his first attempt at something “normal,” which of course makes it deeply strange. Our European correspondent Petor Georgallou presents something resembling a straight bike review — or at least as close as he gets. Join the chaos…

2025 Bespoked Dresden Builder Photos Are in the Radavist Dropbox

We’ve got a few more posts coming in next week from the 2025 Bespoked Dresden show, but all of our builder content has been posted. If you were one of the framebuilders we featured, your photos are available on The Radavist Dropbox. Our intention with documenting these sorts of shows was to supply talented makers with high-quality, beautiful photos to help market their practice. That means you can use them on your website, social media channels, for yourself, and your component marketing companies. These photos are all 2000 pixels wide at 72 DPI.

Bespoked Dresden was a phenomenal showcase, and the team running the show deserves their props. Well done to all!

We’d also like to express thanks to Brooks England for supporting our 2025 Bespoked Dresden coverage and to each and every one of you who signed up for The Radavist Membership. Without this joint effort between brands and supporters, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do, so thank you!

The Crossworx Lite 290 Travis Reviewed is For Sale

Travis reviewed the Crossworx Lite 290 a few months ago, and he has agreed to help Crossworx find a US buyer instead of shipping it back to Germany. Save on some carbon emissions if you were curious about this downcountry/trail bike! In a nutshell, it’s a 130 mm-rear-travel aluminum frame made in Germany, meant for either a 140 or 150 mm fork. It’s meant for more aggressive riding than its travel numbers indicate, and favors plushness over poppyness. The frame size is XL, with “normal” reach numbers but a very steep seat angle for climbing, so the cockpit is on the short side.

It’s available as a frame and shock for $1800, which is a massive savings!

Check it out at the Rad Bazaar.
