We’ve heard plenty of buzz around the new 32″ wheel size invading the bike world this year, so it was time for another Tinker Tantrums. Spencer got his hands on a 32″ front wheel from Astral and a tire from Maxxis to try out. He put the combo on his undying 2016 Orbea Loki, which was originally a 27.5+ hardtail, only to ironically find the bike returned nearly to factory-spec geometry. Intend BC‘s inverted forks have long been on our radar. Being a small manufacturer, they can pivot production to address the market easier than the big dogs of suspension. As such, the Freiburg-based brand just unveiled its Samurai 32er fork (€1.427,73). Touted as the “first buyable” 32er suspension fork, the Samurai was first teased at the Made Bike Show on the Falconer 32er we documented. The fork rolls on 35 mm stanchions and supplies a maximum travel of 130 mm. All in a hand-assembled, 1620-gram chassis.
