Camp Canyon Recap: A Permission Slip for Adventure

Canyon Bikes is a brand that usually speaks in the language of podiums, watts, and world tours. But on a warm evening in Carlsbad, the company chose a different dialect. Camp Canyon wasn’t about racing. It was about the messy, unpredictable, deeply personal side of riding that rarely makes it into press releases or race reports.

The format was simple. Bring a few hundred riders together, fire up the grill, let the San Diego Mountain Biking Association pour beers, and shift the focus away from performance as the primary expression of life in the saddle. Instead, the night circled around a single theme: the permission to go off-script. We’re playing host to the event’s recap, so read on for more about Camp Canyon

Omnium Presents CPH OPEN by Bike

The CPH OPEN – Copenhagen Open⁩ – is a unique skateboarding event that has, since 2007, evolved into one of the biggest annual skateboarding gatherings in the world, attracting elite pros, amateurs, and thousands of spectators to Copenhagen. More than just a competition, it is a vibrant celebration of skate culture featuring contests, jams, demos, and block parties throughout the city, which is transformed into a skateboarding playground with the municipality’s cooperation.

In 2024, organizers took this spirit on the road, touring key Olympic cities like Berlin, Munich, and Milan, culminating in Athens — replicating the event’s energy in other European cities while sharing something quintessentially “Copenhagen”: the cargo bike.

Two skaters and bike messengers, Antonio Piepo and Frederik Andersen, set off on a 2,400km journey to Athens in early September, riding Omnium Cargo bikes. This film documents their incredible trek across the continent in 19 days, involving 19,000m of climbing. Their mission? To deliver an OMNIUM as a gift to the MVP of the entire trip, showcasing the essence of skate culture and community spirit along the way.

More Than Two Wheels

More Than Two Wheels is a short film by Adam Gairns and Henna Palosaari supported by Scott Sports that follows a surf and bikepacking journey through the rugged Scotland’s Outer Hebrides. Traversing a remote coastal road that weaves across five islands, connected by ferries and scattered with white sandy beaches, they set out in search of waves.

But the trip didn’t go as planned. Harsh weather and bike mechanicals forced them to slow down—and to reflect. Told through personal journal entries, More Than Two Wheels is more than just a travelogue; it is a reflection on the moments of slowing down an adventure can present to you.
