SimWorks 8th Anniversary Ride and Party February 7th

Mark your Calendars: SimWorks USA 8th Anniversary Ride and Party coming up Saturday, February 7, in Portland, OR…

These January days are winding down, and the team at Sim Works has its sights set on early February for an opportunity to celebrate SimWorks USA’s 8th Anniversary with a group ride in and around the city, which will end back at SimWorks USA HQ for an afternoon of festivities, refreshments, and even a couple of DJ sets.

The ride will kick off at Courier Coffee shop in SW Portland, along with delicious treats from Soen, just catty corner from Powell’s City of Books off W Burnside. The crew is shooting for a 9:30 am meet-up and a 10:00 am roll-out for a casual and fun mixed surface ride (weather and conditions dependent). Will likely be in the 10 or so miles ballpark.

SimWorks and Nitto ‘Big Little Nick’ Handlebar

SimWorks and Nitto ‘Big Little Nick’ Handlebar

A long-time SimWorks and Nitto bestseller, the Little Nick Bar has been in high demand since its inception. Its gently swept-back shape brings your hands slightly toward you, opening up a relaxed and confident position on the bike. This new “Big” Little Nick Bar, now with a generous 32° of back sweep, with a 700 mm of width, brings the grip area even closer, creating a more natural hand position. Perfect for a touring bike or commuter, these chromoly bars will flex nicely.

This big back sweep can also be used to shorten a bike’s extension on a long effective top tube. And with just a twist of the bar, you can dial in your own perfect rise. Finding the right angle becomes an enjoyable process of experimenting with what feels best for your wrists and your ride — a small but meaningful freedom that makes this handlebar so fun to use.

SimWorks Short Fenders Are Short

Inspired by designs dating back to the 1930s and 1940s, the new SimWorks Short Fenders combine Honjo construction with a vintage sensibility. Used by road and ‘cross racers looking to protect their braking performance as well as cycling hunters who feared mud-clogged fenders, this truncated design is designed to keep mud away from your rim brake calipers and headset. They’re also ideal for bikes that might have to be transported on a bike rack on a car or public transit.

Available in silver or black and a variety of different widths and finishes, and in stock now at SimWorks.

SimWorks Bubbly Pedals Now in Olive Cerakote

SimWorks and MKS teamed up to develop the Bubbly pedals a few years ago. Now the Nagoya, Japan and Portland, Oregon based Sim Works has unveiled a limited run of olive drab cerakote pedals. Unlike anodizing, cerakote is a matte finish, which contrasts the steel pedal spindle body’s low-lustre quite nicely.

Features:

  • Ultra-wide Concave Platform: MKS boasts one of its largest platforms in history. The tread’s concave shape naturally accepts a wide range of sole positioning for the rider. Move those feet around periodically throughout a long ride, and watch some muscle groups thank you.
  • Triple Sealed Bearing Assembly: Pedal spindle has increased sealed bearing support in three points to maximize rotational performance while minimizing stack height, reducing rotational resistance to the utmost. (Flawless and effortless pedal spin capabilities with no slop)
  • Chrome Plated Forged Spindle: Cold-forged steel spindle with chrome-plated finish for precision and durability
