SimWorks and Sycip Designs brought back its innovative Sycip JJJ bar with a few tweaks. Dubbed the JJ Bar, this alt handlebar features a lot of backsweep and zero rise…

The original JJJ Bar concept allowed road-style brake levers to be mounted on a flat bar. For this new bar, Sycip and SimWorks dropped that concept and focused on what made the original so nice: its shape. The new JJ Bar was born from framebuilder Jeremy Sycip of Santa Rosa, California and brought to life through SimWorks’ collaboration with Nitto.

This new JJ Bar updates the grip diameter to 22.2 mm, allowing for MTB brakes to be mounted to them, increasing compatibility with how modern riders build their ATB and basket bikes. A 22.2 mm clamp area allows you to also mount thumb shifters and a wider range of components. The design has also been refined to better suit relaxed city commuting, creating a comfortable and inviting riding feel that naturally complements a wide variety of urban bikes. However, it is not compatible with barcons.
